Maybe it's been long since you last touched your sewing machine or maybe you have never used a sewing machine at all, this five hour class will provide you with what you need to begin your sewing journey. Sewing can be overwhelming with all of the features and moving parts, but it does not have to be.

 

On this course we will go over all necessary basics to make sure you are comfortable with your sewing machine. We will cover everything a beginner needs to know that will leave you confident to take the next step towards other classes. Several of the classes build on each other and can help you get more familiar with techniques and gain skills of all kinds.

 

We will go over aspects of a domestic machine and its functionality.

MATERIALS

 

When starting a new endeavor for the first time, even selecting basic supplies can be overwhelming, so we will discuss what you need in your sewing kit. You will need to bring:

 

 

You will need to bring ½ Meter (20”) length of your choice of cotton fabric for the cushion cover, matching thread and a 40cm x 40cm (16x16 inches) Cushion inner/pad.

  • Once made, a booking cannot be transferred to an alternative date. If for any reason you are unable to attend please feel free to send a substitute. If you book a workshop for several days duration please make sure you can attend all days. Please check the dates carefully prior to booking.


    All workshops/courses must be paid for in full prior to the workshop start date. Payment can be made by PayPal or credit/debit card. By booking online you are acknowledging that you have read and accept the terms and conditions. Once a booking has been made, you will receive a confirmation email and information about any materials or equipment required.

     

    Cancellations by you:  Refunds will only be given under exceptional circumstances and will be considered on an individual basis.

     

    Cancellations by us: In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a workshop/course you will be given at least 24 hours notice and offered a transfer to another date or receive a full refund. We will not be held liable for any other costs or expenses that you may incur in the event of cancellation by us
